Asia Sourcing Specialist

Due to our continued global expansion, we are actively seeking experienced purchasing agents to strengthen our team. We are looking for a buyer with experience in purchasing board level components in both the franchise and open market distribution channels in the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities

The Asia Sourcing Specialist position encompasses the management of all procurement in the Asia Pacific region. The agent's core responsibility is to support our OEM sales staff with part requirements, purchase orders, and vendor communication specifically in the Asia Pacific region. The Purchasing Agent is also responsible for maintaining and growing vendor relationships, through accurate and diligent product research, and constant communication specifically in the Asia Pacific region. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the independent, franchise and factory direct purchasing in the Asia Pacific region.

Experience, Education, and Skills

  • 5+ years of purchasing experience in the electronics industry.
  • 3+ years of purchasing specifically in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Extensive use of all electronic industry sourcing, research, and manufacturer websites.
  • Large knowledge base of electronic components is preferred.
  • Established & strong vendor relationships in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Must be fluent in Chinese (traditional at a minimum).
  • Must be detail orientated, extremely organized, and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Basic personal computer skills including working knowledge and experience with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time sensitive work environment.

Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking individuals with board level electronics and hardware component experience.

Responsibilities

Quality Control Inspectors are primarily responsible for performing incoming and outgoing inspections of electronic components, subassemblies, and finished goods, under the direction of the Quality Control Manager. Ongoing responsibilities include:

  • Perform inspections based on company and industry standards.
  • Reject components not meeting manufacturer specifications and customer purchase order requirements.
  • Accurately document inspection and test results, including reports and photography
  • Coordinate and review findings with the QC Manager, Purchasing Team, Sales Representatives, or other team members.
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
  • Support other members of the quality team when needed.

Experience, Education, and Skills

  • Ability to achieve and maintain IDEA-ICE-3000 certification or 6+ months experience with IDEA-STD-1010 electronic component visual inspection, counterfeit testing, ESD/MSL handling and packaging.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience with ESD and moisture sensitive component handling.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 and/or AS9120A preferred.
  • Experience using MS Office platforms, as well as other inspection software.
  • Ability to use digital cameras, microscopes, calipers, scales/counters, computers
  • Effective problem solving skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • High School diploma with some coursework in related field preferred (electrical or electronics)
  • Preferred industry standards experience include; MIL-STD-883, ANSI/ESD-S20.20, CCAP-101, JESD22-B101, J-STD-033, J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610.
  • Prior working experience with test laboratories, circuit board assembly, semiconductor manufacturing, or independent/franchise distribution is strongly desired.
  • 2 years of electronic and hardware component knowledge.
  • 2 years of quality control experience in receiving inspection

Senior Account Manager

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of Senior Account Managers are to develop customer relationships and perform customer service functions to satisfy customers' needs. Senior Account Managers are responsible for meeting monthly sales and/or gross profit quotas, as well as selling, leveraging technology, and improving processes, while maintaining the company's vision and values. Senior Account Managers participate in developing strategic plans designed to service and grow the existing customer base and the future development of additional sales channels.

Experience, Education, and Skills

  • Senior Account Managers must have a minimum of five years of experience in a selling role, at least two years of experience in the electronic component distribution industry, and at least two years of experience working with sales technology and CRM.
  • Priority consideration will be given to candidates that possess substantial industry contacts and/or deep experience in franchise distribution.
  • College degree in a sales or business related field is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess ability to convey information to others clearly and concisely, whether in writing, in person or by phone, and to impart emphasis appropriate to the importance or urgency of the information.
  • Maintain sensitivity to the needs and feelings of the customer (or other parties outside of the company) as well as the ability to present the company in its best light to others.
  • Efficient and rapid performance of assigned duties, completed to a high level of quality, while requiring minimal supervision.
  • Must show behavior and conduct which is ethical and business-like, which presents to others an exceptional image of the company and of the employee, and which serves as an excellent example to other employees.
  • Ability to work with strong personalities in a dynamic work environment.
